  • The Nominative Case 3

Welcome to the part three of the nominative case. You’re probably wondering if this is the last we’ll hear of the nominative, but sadly, no, this is nowhere near the end! We’ll move on after this post and focus on some other elements of the language before returning to this case for the plural.

How do we identify neuter nouns in Russian? Let’s take a look!

Neuter nouns end in:the letter е
    the letter о
In some dictionaries, neuter nouns, when clarity is needed, will be marked with ср.
    letter еморе
    (sea)
    платье
    (dress)
    здание
    (building)
    letter оозеро
    (place)
    вино
    (wine)
    пиво
    (beer)

And with that, we’ve finished up the first three parts of the nominative case. See you in the next post, where we’ll be learning something different.
