In today’s tip, we’ll look at a simple mistake that native speakers (in writing) make on occasions. So во время or вовремя? What is the difference? Are they synonyms? We shall soon see.
| во время is a set expression meaning during and can only be used with a type of event such as dinner, breakfast, concert, etc. It’s followed always be the genitive case. |
| вовремя is an adverb meaning on time or in time, depending on context. |
